Honey Torch Baked Style Ham

No really. I successfully (and tastily) pulled this off last Christmas. Not really that hard, best done OUTSIDE.
Honey Torch Baked Style Ham Glaze
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
1/8 teaspoon paprika
dash ground ginger
dash ground allspice
1. Buy a spiral cut ham. You can find these at most grocery stores.
2. Mix the ingredients together in a small sized bowl.
3. Put down a couple sheets of wax paper or foil onto a flat surface, preferrable outside. Pour the mixture onto the wax paper or foil and be sure to spread it on all parts of the surface you covered.
4. Pick up the ham and roll it over the mixture coating well. Do not coat the flat end of the ham just the outer surface.
5. Turn the ham onto its flat end on a large plate or on several layers of foil. Whip out the blow torch or a creme brulee torch with a medium-size flame to caramelize the sugar. Wave the torch over the sugar with rapid movement, so that the sugar bubbles and browns, take it slow. Spin the plate to allow you to get the entire ham until it has been well coated and carmelized. Expect plenty of left over mixture.

KIEV, Ukraine — A Ukrainian candy company has begun marketing what may be the stickiest, richest and most fattening treat on the market: pure pork fat covered in chocolate. Cracking open a finger-sized stick of ''Fat in Chocolate'' reveals exactly that: a vein of white fat. The dark chocolate product pokes fun at the traditional Ukrainian snack of salo, or salted pork fat, usually consumed with vodka and pickles.

Great Corn Bread Recipe

SOUTHERN CORN BREAD
2 cups white Corn Meal (Martha White is the best)
1 large egg
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups of milk
1 tbsp sugar
1/4-cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Add oil to cast iron skillet and put in oven while preheating. Mix Corn Meal, egg, milk and sugar until smooth. Set aside until oven is preheated. Add hot oil from skillet to corn bread mixture and stir in.
Pour in to hot skillet and bake at 425 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove from oven and let cool a minute or two. Gently try to pry baked corn bread from skillet with out tearing bottom. Make sure your cast iron pan is well seasoned.

In 1930, Ruth Wakefield was making chocolate cookies at the Toll House Inn in Whitman, Mass. When she ran out of baking chocolate, Ruth broke a bar of semi-sweet chocolate into little pieces and added them to the dough. When the cookies were baked, the chocolate hadn't melted. The 85th Anniversary White Castle Recipe Book is now on sale. If you've never experienced a FRESH square burger sandwich, you are missing out.
