Too funny to ignore

So far Expired Foods has only taken a look at foods consumed by humans. But every once in a while you come across something that just can't be ignored. Since we all have pets, many of us having dogs out there, Expired Foods takes a look at the most interesting, unique dog food ads I've seen in a long time. Hell these ads make me want to buy it and I don't even have a dog.

Looking to get your fill of odd candies and snacks...


When I'm fixing for some chocolate covered insects, or "larvets" (BBQ, Cheddar Cheese, and Mexican Spice flavors), or my favorite, a scorpion sucker, I visit Candy Warehouse so I can stock up.

This is not a turd.



It comes in many names and varieties:

Black pudding - UK - pigs blood, pork fat and cereal (oatmeal and or barley)
Drisheen
- Ireland - as above but with lamb's blood
Boudin noir - France - pigs blood, pork fat, breadcrumbs, brandy or calvados and cream
Morcilla
- Spain - pigs blood, pork fat, paprika, cooked long grain rice, sherry and sometimes raisins
Blutwurst - Germany - pigs blood, diced bacon and lungs

But it is unique no matter how you slice it... Blood Pudding.

Try it, it's quite tasty...

Rootworm Beetle Dip

Ingredients:
2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons skim milk
1/2 cup reduced calorie mayonnaise
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. dill weed
1 1/2 tsp. Beau Monde
1 cup dry-roasted rootworm beetles

Directions:
Blend first 3 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and chill.
